What to expect
Treatment Includes
Phase 1. Skin Preparation & Assessment
Skin is cleansed and assessed for vascular patterns, sensitivity, and suitability for laser. Photographs may be taken for tracking.
Phase 2. Vascular Laser Therapy (Cutera Nd:YAG)
A targeted 1064nm wavelength is applied to the treated areas. Laser energy is absorbed by haemoglobin in the blood vessel, causing safe coagulation and closure of the vessel wall.
Phase 3. Calming Recovery Protocol
Cool compresses and barrier-supportive skincare are applied immediately post-treatment. A customised aftercare routine is explained.
Phase 4. LED Light Therapy (Optional Add-On)
LED Light Therapy may be added to reduce inflammation, enhance healing, and further calm redness.
What we can treat
Facial Telangiectasia (Broken Capillaries)
Thin, red or purple thread-like vessels that appear on the surface of the skin, commonly found around the nose, cheeks, and chin. These capillaries are often caused by sun exposure, genetics, or skin trauma, and respond well to targeted Nd:YAG laser therapy.
Diffuse Redness and Flushing (Rosacea-Related)
Persistent facial redness or frequent flushing, often associated with rosacea. This condition may worsen with heat, alcohol, or stress. Laser treatment helps reduce the appearance of diffuse redness by calming dilated vessels beneath the skin’s surface.
Cherry Angiomas
Small, bright red or purple vascular growths that sit on the skin’s surface. Though benign, many clients choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons. These lesions respond rapidly to Nd:YAG laser treatment, often with a single session.
Spider Veins (Face and Neck)
Fine, branching veins that resemble spider legs, usually found on the cheeks, jawline, or neck. These superficial veins are targeted precisely with laser energy, gradually fading over time with minimal disruption to the surrounding skin.
Blue or Deeper Veins Around the Nose and Cheeks
These larger or darker vessels lie slightly deeper in the dermis and are often resistant to topical treatments. The long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser penetrates to the required depth to coagulate and collapse these vessels safely and effectively.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this treatment painful?
You may feel a mild stinging or snapping sensation. Most clients tolerate it well without numbing. Discomfort is short-lived and treated areas are immediately cooled.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the type of vessel and severity, 1–3 sessions may be needed. Smaller capillaries often collapse in a single treatment.
Will the veins come back?
Treated veins are closed permanently. However, new vessels may form due to genetics, environment, or hormonal changes. Maintenance treatments may be recommended.
